Update: Putin declares martial law, and Edward Slavsquat disagrees with our characterisation.
Rat smelling occurred a mile off when it was reported Putin’s right-hand man Prigozhin had started a “coup” against the Russian government. After all, why bite the hand that feeds?
Noticable tells this is staged include the “rebels” keeping the tank gun barrel covers on, as noted by Intel Slava Z:
And as noted by another Substacker, Nikita Petrov, who posted this full size image:
…where if you zoom in on the barrel, you’ll see the cover:
Nice of the “rebels” to keep their tank barrels covered like that. It’s almost like they know there won’t be any fighting.
Then there’s Prigozhin himself, instead of carrying a gun and advancing on a position, he’s instead apparently standing about giving interviews in people’s doorways with no helmet on:
…giving selfies from cars (also no helmet on)…
…and asking his dilligent men to pose for photo opportunities, rather than, say, being prepared for a violent confrontation with the Russian government, and staying inside their tanks to avoid being shot by rooftop snipers:
Then there’s the fact that the Russian police and military did what the US police did in the face of the BLM protests, and stood down, suggesting this is all Russian government approved:
For contrast, this is what Prigozhin looks like on the front lines of Ukraine (supposedly), note helmet and gun:
And another reportedly taken in Ukraine:
Apparently Russia doesn’t have snipers in their towns and cities? No guns? Better take off your helmets, no fighting in the war room!
Now, I am no Russian linguist, and despite asking several people to translate what Prigozhin said in his interview, only one did; an American based friend who is critical of the US government. They claimed his statement included the line approximately translating to:
…there is no insurgency…
Which starkly contrasts to what Sky news and Intel Slava Z were saying, screaming ‘coup, coup!’.
When I asked Edward Slavsquat if he’d ask one of his friends to translate what Prigozhin said to act as tiebreaker, he bizarrely flatly refused on the basis that Putin — whom he rags on as an untrustworthy globalist — gave a speech:
Suddenly Putin is a trustworthy source of information for Edward Slavsquat? What timeline did I enter? What happened to the healthy skepticism of government sources? Of independently verifying claims per good journalism?
I tried some pushback but got told to ‘just read putin’s speech’. Huh?
Is this even the same Edward Slavsquat who was lambasting Putin for Sputnik V cancer causing shots? Suddenly Putin speeches are trustworthy sources of information?! Time to start quoting Joe Biden? What happened to ragging on alt media for not verifying their sources?
Whilst Sky News offers the same ‘translation’ as Intel Slava Z, in an era of unquestioning copy-paste parrot journalism in Uniparty land, I would rather have a verbatim translation by a source I can verify as independent.
Mysteriously, no-one has taken up the offer. What is so problematic? Does the interview contain some information no-one wants to lie about or cover?
That said, the informal American’s translation of there being “no insurgency” has proven the most correct when Prigozhin was supposedly simply exiled to Belarus and no-one got shot. Some coup.
Clearly this is the Russian version of the Chinese balloon incident.
Does it intend to give Russia de facto justification for more power? Or to distract from something more serious, such as sterilising viruses and sterilising vaccines being connected to globalist agendas?
What are your thoughts, dear reader? Honest government telling us the truth, or something much deeper afoot?
Update:
Appears the coup intended to justify/distract from the declaration of Martial Law in Russia:
Then there’s this ‘smells fake’ gaffe of boxes of money. Because that’s how bribes work: conspicuous large boxes containing money stored in an office where anyone can steal discover it.
Perhaps Hunter Biden ought to give some tips on what a real bribery looks like.
Edward Slavsquat also objects to the characterisation of our discussion, noted here and here. My responses can be found here and here. He’s welcome to share any part of our private conversations, but I don’t feel it changes the context.
I’m confused why he trusted globalist Putin’s speech. I would have thought he’d be proud I distrusted the Russian government out of the gate. Before I could reply, Edward Slavsquat unsubscribed from The Daily Beagle.
Sorry to see you go, but I can’t make journalism decisions based on politician’s speeches. I think most readers know my distrust of politicians is near universal.

Here's a guy who called this fiasco months ago: https://roloslavskiy.substack.com/p/prigozhin-wins-the-smo-lives-to-fight
Check out the archive. There is no 5-D Putin chess master. Russia is a globalist-infested hell hole...just like the US.
It sure looks to me like a fake, staged war...a "rumor of war" as a divine figure once put it.
This comes closer to my take. I hypothesise that Prigozhyn is bulking up to rid Russia for a couple of incompetent generals and the head of defense, a task that is too awkward for Putin. Evidence? None, but for 20 years Russia has suffered from a bunch of Pattons at the top, and that this showed a year ago. The new generation of missiles show this influence was defeated but not on the battlefield. Meanwhile, the enture US retains this disease so, all good.
