any way to stop that bill that safeguards electric companies from liability? How about our insurance, will it still cover if our house gets destroyed that way? Do you know?

You would have to contact your representatives and air opposition to the bill, assuming they will listen.

I would not be able to offer any financial or legal advice regarding your insurance, and your best course of action would be to contact them regarding the bill in question and ask them if they would still cover you in that scenario (I strongly suggest you ask for their response be sent to you formally in writing).

Generally speaking, insurance firms in California have stopped issuing or offering new house insurance in response to devastating wildfires (and other factors). I think at a minimum there will be a major increase in premiums in areas that are at risk in response to this bill, my bigger concern is it will attempt to greenlight abusive behaviour by utility companies and we'll see more wildfires and other abuse/negligence events caused by them in response.

Make yourself a corporate CEO. When was the last time a corporate CEO went to jail for the murders committed by their corporation?

Funny about Congress and the renaming of post offices and the designation of reasons to celebrate a day or week…they have ceased to do anything of value, save for the continued destruction of our country and livelihoods, and now they have become an extension of Hallmark Cards! Plus, they are putting lawyers out of business because soon no corporations will be liable for any wrongdoing or negligence. What auspiciously dangerous-times now teetering on the brink of the dissolution of life as we know it.
