It was reported in Harpers’ index that the Big Tobacco firm Philip Morris had opened their grinch-like hearts to offer Ukrainians a ‘wonderful’ donation:
Half a million cigarette packets. How thoughtful. Get lung cancer for the good of Ukraine. I suppose that is what you get for Geneva Convention violations.
The nuanced subtleties of the Cold War under John F Kennedy during the Cuban Missile crisis where cool heads proposed a naval blockade, and cooler heads prevented nuclear torpedo launches, have long since evaporated, and the Ukraine war has devolved into nuclear shouting matches.
Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky demanded NATO engage in a pre-emptive nuclear strike against Russia. Even amongst Ukrainian hardcore loyalists, this was alarming, and the Ukrainian government tried to quietly walk back his escalating rhetoric, going so far as omitting such remarks from the official transcript.
This came in the shadow of dementia sufferer Joe Biden’s remarks of nuclear armageddon, with Ukrainians understanding it as him threatening to use nukes (translation). The US government likewise tried to backtrack Biden’s remarks by insisting it wasn’t based on evidence. What?
US Special Forces direct involvement in Ukraine has been ever expanding, which AntiWar.com notes:
Several current and former intelligence officials said that there “is a much larger presence of both CIA and US special operations personnel and resources in Ukraine than there were at the time of the Russian invasion in February.”
Russian government backed Intel Slava Z were eager to highlight the US direct involvement, showcasing a captured US flag, found in an area Ukrainians had retreated from:
This particular emblem is interesting, the eagle has a number of possibilities - but they all involve the civilian leadership of the US Army.
Note 9 stars above the eagle’s left-facing head, the US flag breastplate, arrows in the talons on our right, and leaves in the talons on our left. There is one - of many similar versions - found on the Flag of the United States Secretary of the Army:
Other possible matches include:
Assistant Secretary of War
Chief of Staff as General of the Armies or General
Chief of Staff as Lieutenant General
Chief of Staff as Major General
Point is, assuming it wasn’t pilfered, manufactured or fabricated, means key civilian US Army leadership are present in Ukraine. Contrary to US gov’s suggestions of ‘no evidence’ for risk of nuclear armageddon or that US troops won’t set foot in Ukraine, there’s evidence of direct involvement by the US in the war.
I think everyone deep down knows this was the case, as Russian State-backed TASS notes, calling the US a “Ukrainian conflict participant”. The flag is explicit and undeniable here, especially civilian leadership. The longer war drags on, the less plausible deniability, and greater risk of catastrophic miscalculation for all.
Nuclear Miscalculation Continues
Jeffrey Sachs - economist, academic, public policy analyst, and former director of The Earth Institute at Columbia University - warned if the US does not condemn Ukrainian shelling of the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant, they would face nuclear armageddon on two fronts.
Their warning may be too little, too late. Zaporizhzhia had already lost external power - required to keep backup systems and coolant running - 3 days ago, forcing it to use emergency power, with only a 10 day window on diesel generators.
By sheer effort, the external power has been restored, however risks of another incident are alarmingly high, and we would see another Fukushima-style incident should cooling systems fail without a hard, SCRAM style shutdown.
SCRAMs are not the safety net you’d think. They have a negative effect: they ruin the reactor core and put the plant out of service. It’d be like if you had a car brake that was guaranteed to destroy your car engine if used. You wouldn’t want to use your brakes to slow down either.
Escalation Spirals
So you probably heard the Western media talking non-stop about the Crimean bridge being ‘destroyed’, however it had only been partially damaged. Intel Slava Z had published a video showing the moment when a truck detonated next to a civilian car on the bridge, with the 3 people in the car confirmed dead.
Putin was quick to finger the Ukrainian Secret Service as the culprit, calling it an ‘act of terrorism’, and a senior official for the Ukraine government confirmed to the New York Times they were behind the attack.
Russia opted to retaliate in what they perceive as terrorism against civilian targets, by launching missiles at civilian infrastructure. Such examples included ‘Burshtynska TPP’ (TPP stands for ‘Thermal Power Plant’), the CHPP-5 and CHPP-6 in Kiev (CHPP stands for ‘Combined Heat and Power Plant’, a dual-fuel power station), which resulted in blackouts across Ukraine, with scenes showing Ukrainians unable to get food as it appears panic buying has gripped regions.
Russia also hit the German consulate in Ukraine, struck the EU Advisory Mission (translation), hacked the US networks with a major cyberattack, with Northern Germany Rail Network coming to a halt after communication lines were disrupted in what Germans called an ‘act of sabotage’. It demonstrates what Russia could have done early in the war if it chose to.
They evidently have a very low fault tolerance for their citizens getting murdered, and the US shouldn’t be ones to point fingers because they invaded entire countries over 9/11. I think in this case, it wasn’t so much the bridge being destroyed - Russia has taken a lot of infrastructure hits - so much as the car with the 3 innocent people inside being killed.
Europe Flails Wildly
Europe itself isn’t doing much better. Anti-NATO protests broke out in France in response to the rising fuel prices they cannot afford, as reported by Indian news outlet WION:
7 days ago France’s petrol stations ran out of petrol and the country was forced to tap their strategic reserve, telling people to not panic buy. A third of the petrol stations are experiencing supply shortages, as this comes amid a petrol workers strike over the cost of living crisis, with the French government foolishly thinking that simply ordering the workers back to work is going to solve the issue. The French Revolution of 1787 comes to mind.
The EU is busy fighting amongst themselves over their Natural Gas price policy (read: failed attempts to sanction the Russian government), with the Germany government looking to hand out 200 billion Euros in gas subsidies, this comes as the Druzhba oil pipeline from Russia to Germany suffers a leak; Ukrainian outlet Strana Today suggests it is sabotage, however Germany does not. I would suggest the German government are not very bright to suggest that, given the recent Nord Stream implications.
Meanwhile the UK’s National Energy Grid have warned households could see 3 hour rolling blackouts if a severe winter hits. The UK economy - and by extension, the British pound - crashed hard at the mere suggestion by UK PM Liz Truss of tax cuts, showing the UK’s economy is extremely volatile. Cold Fusion has a great video covering why the UK economy is collapsing:
Liz Truss’ suggestions were so awful - given she almost collapsed the entire UK banking sector with mere words - she has been forced into U-turns on nearly every policy proposal, including:
Not telling households how to save money (yes you read that right; she didn’t want to tell them how they could save money)
She has even weirdly said she won’t reduce any government spending. I think someone needs to explain to her how leadership works, and it doesn’t involve hard, explicit, hand-binding commitments to specific extreme statements, especially in perilous economic situations where adaptability is key. Can we still have Steve Baker as PM?

Not sure UK Politics is worth saving? I'm a 77 UK citizen but give up now most politics is infiltrated by WEF (New World Order) murderers that seem to agree with Gates' De-population plans and want to inject us all with deadly poison that has nothing to do with Covid ("We know it doesn't work but let's pretend you won't get so ill" because that's far more difficult to disprove!) Reinstate LIABILITY for DEADLY injection makers and we'll be on the way back to sanity. Mick from Hooe (UK) Unjabbed to live longer.
