I am so sorry for your loss. Thank you for this great article. The debacle at United in EWR two weeks ago was epic. I listened to Air Traffic Control online as my husband was departing on an International flight. (I had no idea you could listen in until that night.) His flight was delayed three hours. I could overhear MAJOR operations issues. It was everything from missing meals, no ice, awaiting a gate, no ground crew, cleaning crew not cleaning up vomit in a bathroom, so hazmat had to be called, and waiting for cleaning crews to clean planes. ATC was overwhelmed, and pilots were frustrated but always kind and respectful.
The good news is any recruitment will be strictly according to best DEI thinking. So we can - when we’re stuck in the airport (or crashing and burning) - at least take comfort from knowing that critical factor has been fully addressed.
Ahahahaha 😑 and the RUB? The Airlines can NEVER admit the truth as it would cost them BILLIONS in Liability. From pilots, controllers AND dead passengers Ahahahaha Ahahahaha Ahahahaha. They are doomed.

Make sure every flight has A PILOT, a CO-PILOT and a (Third) SPARE PILOT just in case the injected flight crew drops dead due to the jab!

My cousin, who used to train apex women pilots before she left the industry to start a family some years back, has just returned to training service in an effort to help mitigate some of the massive losses that have occurred. She's very plugged in to Jacob Yoeder and other airline industry insiders and has been sounding the alarm about the catastrophe unrolling before our eyes across the last two years since the mandates. The situation really is dire.
A little inside baseball… airlines typically staff 5.5 crews per aircraft. Eleven crews for every two airplanes. Eleven pilots per airplane, assuming two pilot crews. Hope that makes sense.

My daughter's flight delayed yesterday by 7.5 hrs due to mechanical probs but I wonder.
