I’ll preface this by saying I am absolutely grateful for all of you who’ve become paying subscribers! At time of writing The Daily Beagle has a total of 7 paying subscribers. I’m hoping there will be more as time allows so we can meet the 200 subscriber target!
I wanted to cover the current crisis. I also recognise the more paying subscribers, the more professionalism and quality is implicitly demanded of me.
I’ve attempted to repay this by writing unique, novel and in-depth articles on topics you may not have heard about, such as the COVID-19 shot questions I helped draft for YouTuber Louis Rossmann, or the time I helped shut down emails leaking from Timcast.
Earth Crisis Looms In The Background
And yet - like no doubt many here - I am experiencing a sense of unease about the coming crisis. I see a collection of disturbing trends in various reports. I want to talk about these.
Normally I work like a researcher, I wait until evidence emerges, I collate it together, then I try to write an article in a manner that is accessible to everybody, going over the evidence I’ve found, articles like:
However these new crises I’m seeing in the news now are disparate, disjointed. They can’t be ‘collated’ any more than a Texan sharpshooter fallacy.
Get there early, skimping on the quality, and risk disappointing paying subscribers, or sit-on-hands, wait until the evidence has been piled high, then report well after it is too late to warn people and annoy them? What to choose?
I Tried Before. It Didn’t Go Well.
I did used to collate what I thought were major - disparate - news stories in The Daily Beagle Roundup. The last was the miserably named ‘The Daily Beagle Roundup #24’, discontinued as it was evident people didn’t want it, with a mere 11 views.
So to talk about the current crisis is a risk. People don’t want ‘here is this and there is that’ reporting. People want punchy, in-depth, factual, entertaining reporting that also informs, and to do that you need to weave a narrative. I cannot weave a narrative when information is disparate and all over the place.
So… consider this a compromise. Another attempt, but… we really need to discuss the current Earth crisis. There are overwhelming disasters on numerous fronts…
First Up: Child Murder Is Legal In California
I have to preface my utter shock and horror here, as California looks to legalise child murder. Even if you had the - frankly in my view bizarre - view that life before birth isn’t life… you will consider this murder because it authorises murder post birth.
Yes, you read that right. This story was reported by the Epoch Times who, for some reason, adopts the dehumanising language more akin to Nazi Germany, in an article titled:
It is weird Epoch Times did not write the title ‘California legalises the killing of a child within the first year of birth’.
Now, you might be forgiven if you thought it meant things like accidental miscarriage with such dehumanising language as a “pregnancy loss” (even though they could just use the word ‘accidential’), but, no… it includes intentional child murder (‘abortion’), including intentional endangerment by the mother, such getting s**tfaced on drugs or alcohol.
Quoting the article, the bill aims to:
[…] decriminalize fetal and infant deaths that are considered “pregnancy losses” potentially up to several days after birth, including stillbirths caused by drug use […]
With the bill explicitly stating that:
[…] actual, potential, or alleged pregnancy outcome, including miscarriage, stillbirth, or abortion, or perinatal death due to causes that occurred in utero […]
Which are based upon the:
[…] actions and omissions […]
Of the mother and/or medical provider. So if they also fail to give your child timely care, that’s okay too.
There’s three key words here. The first is “abortion”, so it’s not a “loss” but an intentionally induced murder. The second is ‘perinatal’, which is the most shocking part, as I will quote the NHS’ definition for the term:
Perinatal is the period of time when you become pregnant and up to a year after giving birth.
Some non-medical dictionaries insist it is ‘merely’ 7 days after birth, however the well-established National Health Service in the UK insists it is a year, and I trust that over some obscure, definition changing online dictionary. The fuzziness and gaslighting seem intentional.
So literally, the bill is extending to include murder post-birth up to a year, which dissolves away the child murder advocates’ dehumanising attempts to suggest it isn’t a life prior to birth, because now it is being used to kill post-birth. It always was murder, and it always will be.
The third and final term of interest is “in utero”, meaning ‘in uterus’, as in, occurring before birth. So they refer to the action taken to commit the murder; not the child itself.
This is kinda convenient when you think about the context of the poison shots, because it means if a child murder provider injects you, the mother, with a toxin, that kills the baby later on post-birth… they’re no longer liable for the murder. Subtle.
Alarm bells, should be ringing for everybody at this utterly disgusting bill. Also, the line here is so absurdly thin it doesn’t really matter the terminology, because it means a doctor could perform a last minute lethal injection on the baby in the last few seconds, it pops out, and then shortly dies. This is supposedly a-okay now in child murder California.
You might consider that absurd, but it literally makes a psychopath killing a child legal. That’s the ramifications. It is no longer criminal.
Second Up: Everyone Is F**ked Powerwise
Normally a journalist is supposed to be PG-13 or better, but I think once I give you the low-down on the utter impending energy crisis everyone is about to experience, you too will agree with my aggressive usage of language.
You will have to excuse the lack of narrative format here, because there is so much chaos it is literally impossible for me to frame this coherently:
Ukrainian news outlet Strana Today reported that in Switzerland, people face fines and three years in jail if their thermostat is above 19 degrees Celcius (66.2F for Americans), as CERN plans a shutdown, European energy bills will rise by 2 trillion Euros, Europeans are warned of power outages, even as impoverished Ukraine offers sympathy gas to Europe, Germany is facing a coal shortage at two power plants as river levels drop, and oil prices continue to rise as OPEC cuts output.
European Steel plantmakers are closing due to the rising energy costs, as even rich JP Morgan considers moving out of Germany (to London) due to energy costs. 70,000 People of Czech Republic protest the costs, as their government deludedly insists it is just Russian propaganda. Freezing to death is just Russian propaganda, pleb. Even as the Italian government begs for an end to Russian sanctions because they can’t afford the price rises, and European energy companies beg for ‘too big to fail’ bailouts.
Meanwhile in the UK, Ex-PM Boris Johnson tells impoverished people to just buy a new kettle, as pubs are forced to charge £20 a pint, chefs have to charge £100 for a steak, 6 in 10 UK manufacturers face closure, whilst new PM Liz Truss proposes ‘money printer go brr’ to the tune of £130 billion as a ‘solution’, which they’re not confident in because British cops anticipate uprisings over the energy costs as the UK government plans for blackouts and only cooking after 8pm.
In the US, 75,000 in California without power, with widespread power outages in the Bay Area, as the Californian government begs people to use less power during a heatwave, even as the power operator there declares “rotating outages”. Colorado seized control of people’s thermostats, and unlike the Texas incident of last year, this time it couldn’t be overridden.
Meanwhile, in a ‘you couldn’t make this s**t up’ moment, China - who import their gas from Russia - are now sending sympathy gas to Europe who are sanctioning Russian gas and running out of gas. Imagine paying a premium on Russian gas via the Chinese! This even as China itself is facing a power crisis.
That’s right, the energy sector is so screwed, five straight paragraphs of red, hyperlinked texts of numerous, red light, energy disasters happening the world over.
The Implications
No doubt there’s even more we’re not aware of. Of course, a rise in energy prices means a rise in food prices. It costs energy to farm, to process, to cook, to transport, to cool and store. A disaster for everybody. If not sooner, then definitely later. There is a backlog of a disaster in the pipeline that is pending. The immorality, the rampant disregard.
I think you could see why I couldn’t let this pass. I have a duty to inform my readers. So what do you think dear readers, should I keep up these disparate article reports? Or should I return to the adventurous sort of articles?

Feel your panic and troubling thoughts. It’s taking a lot to wake up people. And there are others that are aware also and feeling your same dilemma, only a little ahead of you. Unfortunately, my only solution is to pray and contribute where I can. Take a deep breath, prepare your soul, which is more important than your life.
