Thanks for your thoughts on my comments. I cannot argue your position as Musk has yet to prove himself. I may be being naive by hoping the best from Musk as far as Free Speech is concerned. I just hope there are some good people that are not on the same train as Adolf Schwab & Co? I wait with bated breath! Mick from Hooe (UK) Unjabbed because I joined the dots first!

You can hope. I think trust is better placed in the public and in smaller creators, rather than a man whose entire lifeline is government subsidies. Even if we assume he's a good guy, the government pulls the financing plug and his business goes.

Hopefully Elon hasn't got a secret sinister agenda with the 'FEEDOM of SPEECH' campaign he sold us all? I wish him success IF he's genuine.

Bill Gates's latest 'Control' plan seems to want to control everything we need to survive, most recently, another of life's necessities = WATER. I recently discovered he's found another method of restricting our ability to express our opinions and FREEDOMS. Perhaps water and food are his 'WEAPONS'? He discouraged from being 'disobedient' or from talking negatively about all of The Great Reset intentions to make us subservient. Gates is now buying into water availability, cleanliness, potability, which is frightening if you know his 'track record' for wanting to control our lives. He's been buying food distributors (Picnic in Holland), and all US farmland he can get his hands on. Gates, along with his cohorts in the WEF, must be stopped from world domination as their mission is to both de-populate the "overpopulated planet" and to make money from all basic commodities humans rely upon for survival.

There will soon be just a few of us left that refused the DEADLY covid injections. 'LIABILITY' must be reintroduced for Big Pharma = just COMMON SENSE!

Finally, 'F*^k PayPal' for thinking they can FINE us $2500 for dissent - and BEFORE GETTING ADOLF SCHWAB'S authority to proceed!

Gates intents are pure evil, but I'm of the view sufficient quantities of people know he's evil that there's little point me 'banging the drum'. Elon, on the other hand, has a lot of 'devout followers' who don't seem to be aware of his ties.

I'm seeing the similar reactions people had with Trump - they think upsetting people is the same as achieving objectives, but unless your objective is just to upset people, it isn't meaningful long term.

I think Elon's goal will be purely profit and even somewhat ego driven, which means if it becomes a battle between his bottom line and your free speech, it'll be your free speech that gets yeeted, and that is not a trustworthy individual to hold.

And I agree, liability needs to be restored, the immunity to liability revoked!

I don't use Twitter and got no idea why I should. Also never cared for Musk, just natural antipathy.

For Substackers, Twitter is only tangentially related in that it is the only social media site that Substack is integrated to auto-publish to (if you have an account). Personally I think Substack ought to diversify their social media options, or perhaps have a generic API allowing users to auto-publish to platforms of their choice.

I'm still seeing a lot of people think Elon Musk is going to instantly improve Twitter, fix all the terrible bans, spruce up the place and somehow reverse all the issues, without being aware of (or ignoring) all the red flags on display.

I'm glossing over his inexperience with social media platform development, and the fact he's sort of making design plans on the fly. You'd think he might have put just a little bit more preplanning into a $44 billion purchase. Something about this does not smell right.
