I do not intend this comment to be off topic, because I believe we are being attacked on all fronts and it can be very "fog of war" confusing. So I am throwing into the mix, FWIW, the most recent announcement where I live (Maryland): we have our first reported case of "locally acquired malaria," so around pm Friday (yesterday) without prior notification to the population, it was announced that the State of Maryland would be "spraying" after 7:30 pm the same day. Did not say where this would be happening, or how. It said:
"The state will spray for mosquitoes after 7:30 p.m. Friday with a permethrin-based solution approved for use in public health mosquito control programs without posing unreasonable risks to human health, said the Maryland Department of Agriculture."
"unreasonable" risks to human health.
I'm not trusting any of them, any more. Any public health officials. I hope the population is OK and this is not informed consent. We don't really know what's happening until it is already upon us (like the fires), and we don't have the tools or knowledge to protect ourselves.
What is this malaria scare, anyhow? Could we not take hydroxychloroquine?

I see that Australia gets a mention in the testing grounds. With our bushfire season imminent I dread to see what will happen here. Our authorities here do 'controlled burnoffs', sometimes just before hot windy days....I don't have any links to support my statement, but do recall fires spreading due to not being controlled.
Previous fires here have been tragic. Would be interesting to go back and re-examine them now that we are looking with a different perspective.
In incident investigation there exist what is called the "Swiss Cheese Model". Essentially what it says is that for an incident to occur, many layers of circumstances (holes in the cheese) must line up in order for the incident to actually happen. If any one of those layers has the hole out of position the incident is avoided and doesn't cause problems. And let's be realistic here, incidents happen all the time so this fire isn't really unusual. Except for the fact that each of the holes in the Swiss cheese was purposely placed so that it had to happen. And the lining up of the holes has contradictions which could not have happened except by malicious alignment and are unexplainable yet they seem to already have an explanation.
The biggest one to me is that school was canceled because the power had gone out due to the high winds dropping trees on the power lines. THE. POWER. WAS. OUT. How is it that unenergized power lines caused this conflagration to ignite? That is their explanation, school was cancelled because the power was out but trees on power lines caused the fires. And somehow they were certain of this when they hadn't even investigated for a cause.
Oh, I know, there are stories and even video of power lines starting fires but the left has taught me well that those are anecdotes and not evidence so must be discounted completely.
