The Daily Beagle Roundup #10
Washington Post freaks out, hackers break into Lockheed Martin, and rich Ukrainians show off
Ukraine War
US government approves Sweden, Finland’s accession to NATO. Not one inch eastwards, eh?
Russian government backed Intel Slava Z shows video footage of rich Ukrainian “refugees” (UA [Ukrainian] licence plate visible) hiding out in Poland as the poor are forced to fight in Ukraine, this comes as Ukrainian Strana Today reports (via translation) the Ukraine government is considering not allowing specific students out of the country
Ukrainian Strana Today (via translation) reports Sweden might turn racist and stop issuing visas to Russians (if they’re in Sweden, they’re not fighting in Ukraine, are they?). This follows on from calls by Finland and Estonia to ban Russians.
Intel Slava Z surprisingly reporting that Russia is resorting to homemade munitions putting grenades in glass jars, although it isn’t clear if it’s a situational improv or due to weapons shortages.
In Krasnoyarsk, Russia, Intel Slava Z have reported that two Antifa members (who have sided with historical Bandera Nazis) intended to burn the Russian enlistment office, but were arrested. Americans can probably appreciate the sentiments.
Latvian media LSM reports US Defense Secretary Lloyd J Austin III will visit Latvia to discuss talks about US presence in relation to the Ukraine war. This comes after Latvia resumed paying for Russian gas in rubles.
Intel Slava Z claims Russian hacker group Killnet have performed their hack on Lockheed Martin, the manufacturer of HIMARS and Javelins, claiming that a the authorisation system for a “NASA smart card” was disabled, the website taken down, and the details of candidates for “a job” were stolen.
Echoing an earlier analysis by The Daily Beagle, where we highlight the fighting in the Ukraine war is likely the US waging war over resources in the ground found mainly in Donbass, Amazon-owned the Washington Post freaks out, exposing the US’ true fears, and panics they’re about to lose the energy and mineral deposit access in the ground. Oops.
Fighting Resumes In Israel/Palestine war
Can’t say we’re surprised. Palestinians fired on an IDF security checkpoint.
Germany Sends Additional Equipment To Ukraine
Originally reported by Ukrainian Strana (via translation), citing instead from German documents (via translation) , where the translated page notes “[c]hanges compared to the previous week in bold”:
10 vehicles HMMWV (8x ground radar carrier, 2x jammer/drone carrier)
3 Armored Recovery Vehicles 2
7 jammers
8 electronic anti-drone devices
4 mobile, remote-controlled and protected demining devices
8 mobile ground radars and thermal imaging devices
1 high-frequency device incl. equipment
49,000 rounds of anti-aircraft ammunition
2 refrigerators for medical supplies
12 anti-aircraft tanks GEPARD (previously: 8)
Gepard translates to “Cheetah” in a number of languages, and likely refers to the unpronounceable “Flugabwehrkanonenpanzer Gepard”, that was developed in the 1960s. Shortly after, Intel Slava Z reported the destruction of one of the GEPARD units, also noting that Switzerland turned neutral, refusing to export anti-air ammunition to Germany for their GEPARD units.
HMMWV stands for High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle, which is a fancy way of saying Germany sent Ukraine some Humvees.

They claim they’re worried about the sale of $100 million worth of Javelin’s systems to President Jair Bolsonaro. But they’re okay with it being sold on the black market in Ukraine.
US Government Signs $280 Billion Act
Following on from Intel’s remarks about a 33 billion euro investment package for Europe, the Biden administration had signed a $280 billion CHIPS and Science Act.
Steven Seagal Films In Donbass
Originally mentioned by Ukrainian site Strana Today (via translation), The Daily Beagle found a video on YouTube shows actor Steven Seagal is in the process of filming a documentary in the Donbass region.
Russian news outlet TASS quotes Seagal as saying: “98% of those who speak about the conflict in the mass media have never been here, that is why the world doesn’t know the truth”. It is likely his documentary intends to shed light on the war in Ukraine.
Historically, Steven Seagal was mischaracterised as a “Putin pal” by the New York Post, because he remarked that “I look at both as one family” about Ukrainians and Russians.
Seagal had been banned by Ukraine in 2017 for 5 years for ‘national security reasons’ - long before the war - simply for being given a Russian passport in 2016 by Putin who said it was a sign relations between the US and Russia were thawing. Seagal had taken part in a large international martial arts contest along with Vladimir Putin. Not exactly conspiracy of the century.
Seagal’s horrible ‘warcrime’ according to Fox news?
My prayers are that both countries will come to a positive, peaceful resolution where we can live & thrive together in peace,
Praying. Fox news lambasted him for daring to agree with Putin. Wouldn’t want any non-conformity in your thinking.
Ukrainians Refugees Face A Tax Crisis
From Ukrainian Strana Today (via translation), Ukrainian refugees in Europe are caught between a rock and a hard place. To pay Ukrainian taxes, they must be resident to Ukraine.
However being overseas means most face paying either the taxes of the European country of which they reside and taxation in Ukraine, meaning they get double-taxed, or they must declare their tax residency status as being in the European country of which they reside - a position which Ireland and Poland have adopted - and not pay any tax to Ukraine.
This comes (via translation) as “People's Deputy” Yaroslav Zheleznyak notes a bill is being passed to bring an additional 10% taxation on imports into Ukraine, despite many imports already having a 10% tax levy, meaning Ukrainians will likely be paying 20% on goods at a time of hardships.
According to official Ukrainian government population data, the population in Ukraine has been declining since the 1990s. At 51,838,500 in 1990, dropping to 41,902,400 in 2020. This is whilst (via translation) 3.2 million Ukrainian refugees enter Russia, or 7.6% of the total population of Ukraine.
